Paoay Church

Paoay Church or St Augustine Church was completed in 1710. It is famous for it's distinct architecture highlighted by it's enormous buttresses on the sides and the back of the building. It was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993 as one of the Best Baroque Churches of the Philippines together with the Santa Maria Church in Ilocos Sur, San Agustin Church in Manila and Sto Tomas de Villanueva Chuech in Miag-ao, Iloilo.

Paoay is a municipality in Ilocos Norte which is 13 hours away from Metro Manila. Right in front of the picturesque Paoay Church is also a well known restaurant - Herencia Cafe. This restaurant is famous for their unique pizza and homey ambiance. Don't miss out in trying their signature pizzas like bagnet pizza, pinakbet pizza, chicharon pizza and dinuguan pizza among others.
