So aside from the iconic Lucban longganisa, Pahiyas Festival, pansit hab hab, broas, uraro, kiping and a lot more sweets, Lucban is also known for the pilgrimage site - Mga Kamay ni Hesus. It is a 15 meter statue of the risen Christ on top of the 500 steps, 480 feet height Pilgrimage Hill with the 15 Stations of the Cross as one ascends. It was built in 2005 by the famous Roman Catholic Healing Priest Father Joey Faller from donations all over the world. It is now a famous pilgrimage site but non Catholics are always welcome and the complex itself is free of charge.

Near the entrance to the hill, there is also a depiction of the Noah's Ark which I think is an office but with statues of big animals, the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, a Filipino restaurant, souvenir shops and food kiosks.

To get to Lucban, we passed by San Pablo City, Nagcarlan, Majayjay and Liliw since we came from Lipa, Batangas. An alternate route is via Lucena then Tayabas. Along the way, we stopped by the Underground Cemetery in Nagcarlan, Majayjay Church and had a short shopping spree of shoes in Liliw. The road to Lucban is winding but the countryside view is magnificent. We had a lot of fun. As they say, it's not just the destination but the journey itself.
