Tamaraw Falls - Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro

So aside from the serenity of Talipanan Beach and the party crazed White Beach, there is another natural attraction that Puerto Galera boasts of.  Tamaraw Falls is a 15 km travel from the center of Puerto Galera on the way to Calapan City passing through zigzag roads, thick foliage and a view of Isla Verde.  The falls is 423 feet then it cascades downwards to two levels of man made pools.  Before, people were allowed to frolic near the waterfalls but it is not anymore allowed now because of some dropping rocks.  We went there January of 2014 and there were still some improvements being done like additional pools and a trail of concrete stairs.   Tamaraw Falls may not be as grand as the other big falls in the Philippines but taking a dip in its icy cold water overlooking lush green trees in a tropical setting is simply romantic.
