Luca's Miramare Lodge in Talipanan Beach - Puerto Galera, OrientalMindoro

It was a spur of the moment decision to spend a weekend in Puerto Galera. We left our car in my boyfriend's cousin's resto in Batangas City and boarded a RORO to Muelle, Puerto Galera.   Upon entrance to the bay of Puerto Galera, I was awed by the numerous islets and the yachts lining up the bay.  It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful bays in the world.

We didn't have any idea as to where to stay but we were eyeing for Talipanan Beach because I've read that it's the best place if you want to stay away from the crowd. Fortunately, Minolo Shipping has a free shuttle service going to Talipanan and the friendly driver recommended Luca Miramare Beach at the far end of Talipanan.  It's a two storey building of light materials and our room was in the second floor.  We were amazed because the guests lounging by the balcony were mostly Europeans.  And the rate was so affordable at P1000 per night with free breakfast, air conditioned spacious room, cable TV and most of all, a steady internet connection.  They also have an Italian restaurant and the pizzas were a best seller! We arrived there at 1pm, ordered pizza, fruit shakes and a garden salad and spent the whole afternoon lying lazily at the beach front until we fell asleep to the sounds of the waves and the gentle breeze. We're excited for tomorrow's water activities and Tamaraw Falls.
